Here are some of the favourite activities from our kids clubs at MarBella, Corfu that you can try at home:
Let your little ones help you to make the play dough – then let their imaginations go wild to create whatever they like!
All you need is some flour and salt mixed together first – then mix together 1/2 a cup of warm water with a few drops of food colouring. Slowly pour the water into the flour mixture stirring as you pour. Then, knead with your hands until the flour is completely absorbed.
Ta-dah! Now let them have fun squishing it between their fingers and toes – or set them some challenges of things to make.
Create fun magical fruit potions!
4 or 5 different fruits are needed for this, and a selection of fruit juices to choose from. Have fun coming up with some magical fancy names for the fruits and the juice potions!
Allow the children (with help if needed) to cut the fruit into tiny pieces so that the different fruits can fit into a cup. Once this is done they can then add their magic potion (the apple juice, orange juice, pineapple juice etc).
Once the juice is mixed with the fruits their magical potion is ready to drink! What special powers does their magic potion give them?
Minute 2 win it
Lots of different challenges the whole family can get involved in to make it a competition such as:
Cup stacking – how many times can someone stack and de-stack the cups in a minute?
Time minute – Guess a minute on the stopwatch
Apple catching – How many times can they catch an apple on a fork in a minute?
Blindfold catching – How many times can someone catch a ball thrown to them while blindfolded?
Protect your egg!
An egg is needed for every person and the aim of the game is to protect the egg through any means possible, using things such as cardboard, plastic cups, toilet roll, paper and any other items that they can get their hands on. Each person will protect their own egg as much as they can and give it a cool design and name too.
Once this is all completed, take it in turns to drop your egg from different heights, getting further and further away from the ground. Whose egg survives the longest??
